In partnership with Aromatic Fragrances International (AFI), New Directions Aromatics will deepen its focus on fine fragrance oils at NYSCC Suppliers’ Day, hosting a creamery-inspired sampling experience featuring three debut launches: Botanical Tallow, Nue Whip Body Butter and the Cultured Gourmand Signature Fragrance Oil Collection at booth 2280.
The booth experience is designed to evoke the warmth and tactile pleasure of an artisan creamery, inviting formulators, makers, manufacturers and brands to sample first-hand the sensorial qualities of New Directions’ newest ingredient innovations. Visitors will explore how the Cultured Gourmand collection’s refined olfactive profiles translate into the texture and performance of finished personal care formulations.
Botanical Tallow and Nue Whip are a two-product formulation system developed for beauty brands, formulators and manufacturers building modern barrier-repair and luxury body care. Together, they deliver the deep nourishment associated with traditional tallow while offering the cosmetic elegance, botanical ingredient story and fragrance integration that traditional tallow cannot. Built on a deliberate barrier-repair architecture—shea, pumpkin seed, ceramide, carnauba, lauryl laurate and vitamin E—both products are engineered for performance while remaining stable and scalable. Unlike generic butter or cream bases, they carry a compelling, modern narrative rooted in function.
The Cultured Gourmand Signature Fragrance Oil Collection features six distinctive fragrance oils—Rice Steam, Sugared Lychee, Milk Veil, Sesame Woods, Pistachio Crème and Honeyed Matcha—each exploring the world of gourmand through restraint, texture and cultural reference rather than conventional sweetness. Designed to perform across personal care and home fragrance applications, the collection is formulated without parabens or phthalates and is built for layering, allowing formulators to develop cohesive, multi-dimensional scent systems.
“Sugared Lychee is part of our Cultured Gourmand Collection, where we explore brightness and freshness through a more refined lens,” said New Directions Aromatics’ Director of Innovation. “Lychee has an inherently juicy, almost sparkling quality. What interested us was capturing that vibrancy while softening it just enough to feel elevated rather than juvenile. The addition of rose was intentional—it brings a quiet sophistication, transforming the fruit from something purely vibrant into something more dimensional and composed. We introduced a gentle sweetness, not to make it sugary, but to round out the sharpness and create a smoother, more polished expression. This is a study in balance—a fragrance that feels fresh and luminous, while still grounded in softness and refinement.”
Across the collection, each fragrance oil is designed as both a standalone expression and a system component. Rice Steam, with its airy grain and skin musk, offers a quiet, atmospheric warmth. Milk Veil delivers a sheer, second-skin creaminess built on texture rather than sweetness. Sesame Woods moves into savory territory, pairing toasted nuttiness with dry hinoki and structured woods. Pistachio Crème balances rich, smooth pistachio with an uplifting neroli brightness. Honeyed Matcha explores contrast—clean green tea and golden honey in precise equilibrium. All six oils are available through New Directions’ fully integrated e-commerce platform.
